Tanjong Malim is a nice place to relax yourself from the bustling city. There are many traditional food stalls and restaurants around here and you can have great food at pretty economical prices. Try the Nasi Lemak Terhad 10 Pagi, or Mee Goreng Mamak at K. P. Mohamed Restaurant. Pasar Lambak is a street market that happens every Saturday in this town where many food operators sell plenty choices of food and stuff. You can also hang out for coffee while listening to live bands at the Sarang Hub.

Another special reason to visit this town is because it is located very close to nature. Chill yourself at Sungai Bil waterfall or climb Bukit Changkat Asah for a leisure walk in the woods. These places are very near to the town.
